Cardiovascular diseases, including coronary heart disease (angina pectoris, myocardial infarction), heart failure, hypertensive heart disease, arrhythmia, etc., are currently the leading causes of human mortality. Baicalin can alleviate myocardial inflammatory injury, reduce myocardial oxidative damage, inhibit myocardial cell apoptosis, inhibit platelet overactivation, inhibit myocardial fibrosis, regulate immune balance, improve mitochondrial function, promote myocardial cell proliferation, promote angiogenesis, and reduce myocardial injury through multiple targets and pathways, thereby improving cardiac function. This article summarizes the pharmacological research progress of baicalin in treatment of cardiovascular diseases, providing reference for the clinical use of baicalin.
