Breast cancer is one of the common malignant tumors in women and the second leading cause of cancer death in women. The incidence is gradually increasing and is showing a trend of younger age. Traditional radiotherapy and chemotherapy for breast cancer have serious adverse reactions, which limit long-term use. Baicalin is a natural flavonoid component extracted from dried roots of Scutellariae Radix. Baicalein can play an anti-breast cancer role by inhibiting cell proliferation, limiting tumor cell invasion and metastasis, promoting cell apoptosis, and reversing cell resistance. This article summarizes the research progress of baicalein against breast cancer, hoping to provide a reference for drug therapy of breast cancer.
