Methods 2,3-Dichlorobenzaldehyde was used as starting material to synthesize the target compound by condensation, cyclization, and hydrolysis reactions. Results The target compound was synthesized and characterized by MS and 1H-NMR. And the purity detected by HPLC was 98.3%. Conclusion The synthesis of 4-(2',3'-dichlorophenyl)-2,6-dimethyl-1,4-dihydropyridine-3-carboxylate provides convenience for the study of impurities in clevidipine butyrate."/>
